As of tomorrow my posting on the forum will be restricted for a few weeks as I won't have access to the internet.
But before I go I want to thank you lot for making this forum what it is. I can't believe there are already almost 1000 posts and 100 members. The original few members will understand how amazing this is. It only seems like a few weeks ago that we starting chatting.
I know we carry on a bit with the sledging - which is part of the fun - but the fact that there is some useful info on here is fantastic. It's tough to find good, relevant updates/info/pics for the Cape - but you fellas are providing it. This in turn helps others prepare for their journeys.
Those of you you are embarking on a trip to the tip this coming month ... I truly hope you enjoy yourself. Apologies for not being able to catch up with you guys in Weipa. My worst fear for travellers is that they have a terrible experience whilst exploring the Cape. My advice: take it easy and enjoy the time-warp. Nothing happens very fast up here - which is part of the attraction.
I look forward to hearing about your trips (and seeing the pics) once I'm back online.
If anyone has an urgent request for info, please feel free to contact me on my mobile - the number is on the main site.
Cheers
