Hi guys,

new to this forum - just found it! We're heading up in Mid July and are after a roof top tent.

We are based in Brisbane and will come to you.

We're also chasing a few other things to go with our 105 Series Landcruiser:

Roof Rack / Bars for 105 Series Cruiser
Side Awning
Winch Cradle

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the forum tomzilla.
If you're heading up for the first time you'll love.
Sorry, I can't help with the gear, good luck.

Les

Cheers Les,

Yes first time for us. We have 3 weeks and are madly preparing for it (also trying to prepare for a wedding too!)

We're heading up by ourselves at the moment so i'l be on some of the other topics to see if we can meet with a few others :)

Hi tomzilla,
I set my cruiser up with a similar bit of gear from the guys at TJM. The prices were good and the service was fantastic. Not sure if you are looking at new or 2nd hand but if you are looking at new gear then I would definitely give them a call and at least get a quote.

Cheers for this - I saw a company called Gordigear at the 4x4 show - seemed to have a few deals on too. Still trying to keep costs down though but will purchase one new at last resort otherwise.

Wedding AND Cape York, easy.
You obviously have a couple of options:-
1. She organises the wedding, you organise the Cape trip.
2. Combine Cape trip and wedding into one event.
3. Cape trip first, wedding some time later.

Just imagine, drive to Weipa for the wedding, then honeymoon on the Cape.
Why Weipa?, it has an airport for those that would rather fly in.
Sorted.
Maybe I should be a wedding planner, it's easy.

Haha so simple!

I have most of the wedding sorted out, and a trip to Thailand for the honeymoon. I actually did suggest a NQLD wedding but it was a straight out 'NO'.

Worth a shot!
