WINDSCREEN STICKER APPLICATION
This might be a little long-winded, but bear with me. It helps to get it right the first time otherwise the sticker is stuffed. Try pulling it off and you will stretch the vinyl. You may as well throw it away once that happens.
Also... apply sticker on a cool windscreen. If it has any heat in it from the sun then the sticker will bubble.
Anyway... here we go...
1. The front of the sticker has some holding tape on it ... Turn the sticker over, face down, so that you can read the 'Metamark' label.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/1.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. GENTLY peel away the the backing paper of the sticket to about HALF WAY. (this will be around about where the 'O' is in 'Yorker'. You must do this peel very carefully, ensuring that all the letters come away from the backing. Keep a close eye on the edge of the letters and in particular the croc's teeth.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/2.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Once you get to the middle - simply cut the backing paper in half.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/3.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. So now you should have half the backing paper in your hand and half still on the sticker.

5. Now re-stick the backing paper back on leaving a half inch space in the middle. Remember that you stick it back the same way - with the 'Metamark' labels still on top.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/5.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. This is what you should have once done. A nice half inch gap in the middle.
Personally I like to repeat the backing removal process with the other side as well. Just to control the letter peeling.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/6.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Go find a car to put the sticker on. Preferably something better than a Patrol.
Get someone to stand in front to help line up the sticker - centre it. I go on the rear-vision mirror mount being centre of screen. Remember that your cut on the backing paper may not be exactly centre. I think that the second upright on the 'O' is centre. Don't trust me on this though. It was 6am when I did this, so I kinda just stuck it there!
The hole idea of the half inch space is to allow you to move the sticker if you have to. Once centred, firmly press that half inch space onto the screen - the front tape should adhere to the glass.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/7.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. Next... grab an old credit card or something worthless like the driver's licences you mob have issued to you. Start at the centre and gently peel away the backing paper whilst smoothing the sticker onto the glass. Try and maintain a nice angle on the sticker otherwise it could flop onto the screen.
Again, peel gently and keep an eye on all the letters to see if they are pulling away from the backing paper.

9. Easy does it. Guiding the sticker on with the card.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/9.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. Right to the end.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/10.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. Once on the glass, get stuck into it and put some pressure on the card so that the sticker well and truly STICKS.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/11.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12. Repeat process on other side. Note how I am peeling a little back first to make sure letters are separating.

13. Smoothing out the other end.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/13.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14. Now get stuck into this side. Hopefully you should have no bubbles if you gently dragged you credit card across in the first process.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/14.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15. Next you can begin to remove the holding tape from the front. Again, try and do this gently, making sure the letters are staying stuck onto the glass.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/15.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
16. The sharp points on some letters are sometimes a little harder to get off the tape, so move the tape around gently on a few different angles.

17. Still trying to angle it off.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/17.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
18. Almost there.
Here's a tip ... open your car doors to do the application. You'll be surprised at how much easier it is when you can stand on the footwell.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z266/capeyorker/18.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
19. Ta dah... One strange, but happy forum user.

Any questions class?
You can spray a little mixture of detergent and water onto the glass first if you want... this way you can slide the sticker around - then squeegy the sticker allowing the water and detergent to be removed. I don't use it on small stickers like this.
If you don't want to put the sticker on the screen then I suggest you find other amusing locations like: the dogs back or a mate's leg hair. Trust me, they will think it is just as hilarious as you do!

Oh, forgot... you probably want the stickers.
I'm posting them today. They will be folded so take extra care when you peel the backing tape.

Cartridge...!
Actually I've got just the cartridge for you, Yoyo...
Let me see... <Batesy goes to cupboard> Yep, this one should do ... says 12 guage on it.
You're right though... it would be easier with a cartridge. You'll just have to harden up a little, I guess!
I'm also worried about what condition they reach you in. Let me know if they are crap. I might have to tube them up next time.

My missus and I are reading this and laughing like idiots... I reckon Puff Campy Doggy dog has got to be the best forum name I've ever come across.
AS for the pink tutu and sign ... look I'd love to but I haven't got time. Gotta hit the sack - on the road bright and early tomorrow... well, about 10 or 11am. Which is pretty early when you don't have a job to go to.

It beats being BLUE, which is what a southern winter used to do to me.
Gotta love a northern winter. Unless you're not in one.
Enjoy that camping trip this weekend, Campdog. I'll be thinking about you when I wake up on Saturday, sitting on the verandah in Cooktown ... looking out over Cook's monument and watching the water sparkle. Warm cuppa in the hand and a nice cool morning breeze to mark the start of the Discovery Festival...!

Quick bio...
Missus and I came back to Weipa after a while in London. My oldies live here, as does my brother and sister.
I worked in the newspaper here for a year. Janine is a teacher (education queensland provides accommodation!).
We started the magazine in 2005, but got hammered by the cost and not knowing what we were really doing. Last year I asked Ant to come on board because I wanted to do a proper magazine, but really needed someone to help out.
It was a killer of a job to finish it, but we've already broken even. Hopefully we can improve on the magazine for next year ... and eventually make a part-time wage out of it as well.
Any other really important info about me can be seen here: http://www.capeyorker.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53
