I live between Gympie and Tin Can Bay and we have just been flooded in for the 4th time in a month (2-4days each time). Getting much better at driving through bonnet deep water, just to get home.
I know how much it irritates me so I feel for those that have been severely flooded in. Was chatting to a mate who lives in Rocky. He said the missus is getting sick of having him so much at home. Apparently he would leave her alone!!
Take care all those stuck.

Thanks Glen, but me and my lot live half way up Mt Archer kinda....:D
But yarr the river here is awsome...it is just incredible were all this water comes from ...I did hear that Taroom copped another 100 mils of rain yesterday so all that will have to come through Rocky too....
I got the mother inlaw home here from Bilo for Christmas and it looks like she could be staying for a little while yet:(
I have to put the missus on the freedom cat in Rosslyn bay in the morning for Gladstone were she has to rail to Marybough on her way to River heads... ...with two heavy duty 4x4 sitting in the yard it makes you realize how helpless flooded rivers can leave you....
Still with some people having lost most of what they own in the floods I suppose this little black duck aint got too much to complain about...
Again, thanks for the offer of help...but if your thinking of comming up this way the coppers have $250 fines if they spring you driving through waterways....

I got this in the mail box today....the pom's have a simular problem...
I’ve just heard from a friend in the north of England.
He says it has been snowing heavily for three days now.
His wife has done nothing but stare through the window.
He says if it doesn't stop soon he’ll probably have to let her in.

After a day or two of the roads being open, we have just got flooded in AGAIN after another 130mls over night! I too had the monster in law with us when the road shut, but I have just paddled her 1km in the canoe to get her to an area where she can get home. Some things you just have to do!!!
