Where Can a RAV 4 go

Hi Guys,
I have a mate who wants to tag along on our trip to the cape with a RAV 4 (no low range). I imagine he will go ok on the bypass road but we intend to do the southern part of the OTL and head out to Chilli Beach.
Do you think he could follow us along the OTL if he skipped around gunshot or the Chilli Beach track.

Just to follow on from my post,

We might even head over to Captain Billy landing, is that a road suitable for a soft 4WD with no low range.

Smart bloke this mate of yours.
Following something like an 80 Series will be good for him, if he can't drive through you'll always be able to drag him through :)

Personally, I would advise him off the OTL.
Chilli beach should be OK, but definately NOT along Frenchman's track.
Capt'n Billy's should be OK, though there are a couple of steepish bits.

A big consideration will be how much gear he is carrying.
This will be the main decider on where he can and can't go.

I read somewhere a few years back where the minimum standard of vehicle for a Cape York trip was a Pathfinder.

i wont take anything without low range on my trips, because i then spend too much time recovering them...
