It's a 98 2.8 Turbo Diesel, fitted with 33" muds for play, and 31" BFG all terrains for day to day. safari snorkel, EFS lift kit with steering dampener, UHF, putting some extra power sockets and starting to prepare the car for the trip to the cape in mid 2010.

I have only had them since the Melbourne Cup long weekend in November, and tested them out up in the vic high country. so far so good. i take them off around town to make them last, i put them on last week as i was planning a day trip out, but didnt get a chance :(

they are loud on the blacktop, but that doesnt phase me, just turn the radio up a little bit and its all good.

yeah, got rear ended on the western ring road on the way from home! its going in next week to be fixed so will be asking for some info on a rear bar!

rear bars are good but they are heavy, just watch the weight

Nice looking rig mate. Shame you are so far from the Cape. Might see you up this way next year.
And as far as the rear light goes don't worry to much I think they are a slight weak point of the Patrols as I have a few mates with Patrols and they seem to pop out everytime we go offroad. Rear bar is a good solution and also take the weight of the spare off the rear door.
