Can anyone recommend a Guide at the Top

Hi guys,

We're staying at Punsand Bay in early June next year and I was wondering who are the best guides for some reef fishing and Barramundi fishing in the area.

When I was up there we hired boats from Bully (Rob) at Cape York Ice & Tackle and he put us onto a guy called Garry Wright. He knows his stuff and been around the Cape for quiet a long time 20 odd years so we were told.

Locals up there may know and recommend others .

If you want to fish bluewater then you can't go past Bat. He lives just up from the Punsand Bay camp area and knows his stuff. At that time of year, you are in with a good shot of some quality mackerel too.
As for estuary, I can't help you out there ( I only recommend guides that I have actually fished with) but I am sure someone else on here can point you in the right direction.

I've spoken with Jay a couple of times now, tried to organise a trip with him when we were up there in October.
Didn't happen due to existing bookings, which was probably just as well, wouldn't have been much good with a broken leg :(

He's a really easy bloke to talk to and will do everything he can to accomodate your timeframe.
