I was under the impression that only the Starcke one had been released last month and that the Tellgraph Track one was due for release on the 11th of next month. I spoke to the producer about 5 days ago and they had only sent out the footage to go on DVD about 2 weeks ago. The DVD will only be 30 mins in length but they said they would send most of the footage to me.
It was a good trip. Went for 7 days in total and all accomodation, fuel and food was provided for.

Yeah, its the last time i go through the middle of Nolans that early in the year. Definite no no. Should have gone round the right hand side like every other car.v:( Saying that though, there wasnt a great deal of water in the car even though it may look it on the DVD.

I got the Starcke track issue last month and recieved that Telegraph part of the trip that your in on Monday the 26th oct, it is definately good viewing. Seeing your 80 stuck there in nolans will give campdog (john) a good laugh, has Luke invested in a winch yet look likes he needs one. Move over Gunshot I'm going to where Luke got stuck how long did it take to extract him out of that ? at least ya's had Roothy with ya that's an adventure within itself. You'll have to post some of the action shots on here.

I just finished watching that as well. Good work, and enjoyable DVD. Thanks for taking the heat off me and my old Patrol in Nolans Brook. At least I had a trailer on to help me get stuck.
I FEEL BETTER NOW.

I liked the look of disgust, or maybe disbelief on your face Geoff when you look back at your vehicle after Nolans Brook.
Good story, and I loved the Canal Creek night recovery.

Just watched the DVD this arvo. A lot of stuff is missing. That recovery of Luke's cruiser took 3 hours. The whole trip took 6 days from start to finish. The "Punsand Bay Mango Prawns" were actually cooked in Weipa at the start of the trip. Realistically, Nolan's wouldnt have been any trouble if you didnt want to take the deepest route through. The easiest way was on the eastern side in shallow water where the sand is harder. All good fun though. Going through the middle seemed like a good idea at the time.

It took us 3 hours to get Luke out of that bog. Roothy's winch shit itself. I am still waiting on some of the footage that isnt shown in the DVD as they cut a fair bit out.

I couldn't beleive it when old mate in the Disco shot straight through after you and made it, though he did take a different line.

We kept meeting up with him the whole trip. He waited for us to come along as he knew we weren't far behind. He was afraid of gettting stuck. The line he took was the easiest way to cross.

The winch wasnt the only thing wrong with his car. There were several other problems, a couple pretty important.

Yeah, none of that showed up in the DVD. One of their sponsors left something out of the gearbox rebuild they did at the start of he year. Plus he had bugger all brakes for the whole trip.

with all the sponsors throwing all those parts at it all the time you wouldn't think there would be a problem with it.
