Thanks Fellas. I am actually in Cairns and i have a mate that is going to get it supplied for us from Townsville (he is brining it up in the 90l esky).
Reason i ask is i am having to cater for 7 people and we are going to be cooking a lot of the food for the group before we leave Cairns.
I have done some research and have found that dry ice can last anywhere between 2-8 days depending on the conditions. I am going to be taking food for about 70% of the trip to cut back on costs.
I was hoping that i could get a top up in Bamaga or Sesia.
No big deal, i suppose i will just have to use block ice.

There are other options if you are prepared to work for it.
Salt water takes a lot longer to freeze and a lot longer to thaw out. It will get colder and stay colder a lot longer than normal ice water. But it will freeze your beer a day or 2 after you put them in. Yep been there done that.
Another option is to sprinkle salt or rock salt over you ice and it will cool it down more.
