Tip to Vrilya point - relaxing trip not rushed
at the tip were is the best place to stay and how long do people usually allow for this. I have allowed about a 1 1/2 days from the time we get ther till we leave. Is that enough?
Vrilya to chilli beach. Is chilli beach worth going after being at Vrilya point or are we better putting more days down Lakefield NP.

Yoyo, Viriya is about 2 hrs fron the ferry and the ferry is about an hour from bamaga, Id stay a minimum 2 nights at the top, give you time to get to the tip, sumerset and the beach drive, have a look at seisha and the plane wrecks at Jacky jacky.
Clile beach turn is about an hour north of a Archer river and a good 6 or 7 hours drive in and a beatiful place and windy, If fishing is yor thing Id camp in lakefield and look about. The drive in to Chile beach through iron range national park is beatiful and challenging if you get rain.
You can also go in via the frenchman track nth of batavia downs turn, you have to cross the pascoe which can be fast running and steep banks, neen your lockers.
Have some pics of chille beach if you want to see some.

Do we from endevor falls if we leave in the morning approx 7am were do you recomend we camp that night as not to have a massive drive the next day to weipa but still not drive all day ( the day we leave endevor falls that is). What would you be doing?

Your right there, it does get a bit crowded with the arternoon rush, I normally stop over at Archer River and get to weipa about mid morning, a nice easy run.
You could do lakefield and camp there and then onto archer river.
Dont forget to stop at the Quarintine station nth of Coen on your way up and get a free cape york info pack, maps etc

I might tag along if that is ok Yoyo as i will be not far behind you going by your dates.Looks like we are going the same tracks.
oh well i will send you a pm with my details and you can stop over our place as we are only minuites from the hwy. Stay here the night and take of in the morning together.
Its an idea anyway
If we stay at lions den what will be the next stop. With out rushing would we get to musgrave roadhouse or maybe a little bit further if we go through cooktown development rd. I'm thinking about bypassing endevour falls and Lakefield NP and get to weipa ASAP and hopefully have enough time on our way back to spend a few days at LNP .

If you stop at Lions Den you would make it to Musgrave through Lakefield if open before dark. From Lions Den to Lakeland and developmnet road about same or a bit more. Lakefield a nicer drive and easier on your vehicle and lots to look at.From Musgave its a nice run to Coen,Archer River tten Weipa.
