With a lot of people currently visiting Cape York, along with some of our regulars who live up in paradise, how about a few fishing reports on what's biting & where this month?

C'mon.....wet our appetites !

Mmmm, mozzies and sandflies?

I havnt been out much this year at all but Stacky got some nice Queenies the other day on the West side. Barra were going off about 2 weeks ago and there are a few maccies around the east side.

I am doing an overnighter in the Escape River this weekend so hopefuly post some pics up here.

Hey Geoff,

Talking of the Escape River, do you know whether the tracks that lead off the Ussher Point track going towards Escape River, Sadd Point and Tern Cliffs are still accessable??

I'm just starting to look at some new areas to visit on next years trip.

Cheers

Road was good last year as it had been regularly maintained right up until the fork to Usher and Sadd Point. It was also miantined from the turnoff up to Sadd Point itself. It took me 3 hours from Bamaga to get into Usher Point.

The road from Sadd Point to the Escape River however is still closed, or more accurately, overgrown.

How did the trip to the Escape River go Geoff??

With a number of our CapeYorker forumites either currently up there, or recently returned from a trip, how did your fishing exploits go?? Landbased or tinny trips??

Had a great time. Went out with Stacky and did an overnighter out there. Fishing was a bit on the quiet side but still came back with a couple of fingermark.

Will be heading out fishing tomorrow out the east coast with another forum member. Hope the weather holds out.
