The NPA show will be held on July 30th, 31st and August 1st. This year's show promises to be a fun experience that will entertain all families, friends and visitors.

There will be games, stalls, fireworks, carnival, clowns, mudrally, the famous Trumby Cup race, and the Bamaga Rodeo.

Fantastic performers and many more activities and events.

I missed it a few years ago as it was going to interfere with our fishing at Vyrila. Having said that I do wish I went and saw the different cultures and activities, and rescheduled our fishing trip.

Have seen parts of it when I was working up there. The locals put on a good show. Had to tow one of the carnies out of some soft sand on the development track as he wouldn't let his tyres down.

It should be a good show this year. I entered into the bull riding in 2005 and come out of it with some nasty bruises. Good fun though. Also came third in the mud rally.

They advertised it in the local rag and everything. I know a couple of people who had gone down to Cairns and bought $3000 - $4000 worth of stock and they even had their stalls booked and paid for. Council has only just decided to cancel the show so puts a couple of people in the shit with stock that they cant sell.

On a personal note, as i am short staffed, i can only get down to Cairns on a long weekend and i had made plans to do just that. Hopefully i can chase someone up for 2-3 days of work.

Geoff,
It would be good to know why the event has been cancelled. When you do find out, can you also please let us know. I would say that there has to be a pretty good excuse for this to have happened.....

Jut found out from the Co-ordinator of the show that they cancelled it due not enough funds to set it up.

One would think they would check this before they advertised it?
