Hi all, had a great time in Samoa and I think I found paradise.Had a taste of tropical weather as it was 29 degree at midnight when we got off the plane. It was also raining. Water temp a lovely 25 degree constant. Didnt like the humidity bit though.Didnt go fishing, too much time having fun. No 4wd so stuck to the tar on the islands. Was fun driving on the right hand side of road in a rhd car. Most beautiful place and people I have ever met.
Not an adventure like the Cape but a lot of similarities. Only no crocs or stingers to cope with.
Planning on returning longer next year.

Campdog,
Nice to hear you had a good time. Can't wait to see some pics.
By the sounds of it, seems as though Cape York has been replaced!!
Might have to start a Samoa forum??

Would never leave the Cape York Forum Ant, Its my internet home page. Samoa was something different for us. Getting old I think.Enjoyed not having to spend 12 months planning and packing and the flight was easier on the bones.
It was great to see a place where the culture has not really changed in hundreds of years,I think its what Australia would be like without the european influience.
I suppose thats what I like so much about the Cape
