Does anyone know what's happening at Mary Valley station?
I've rang a couple of times and left messages but have had no response as yet.
I have enquired with Merluna and they say that Mary Valley is still open and that they have a link to their website, but the link doesn't work.

Is Mary Valley still open for visitors/campers?

Looks like some minor changes to the itinerary.
Shame, I was looking forward to spending a little time there.
Thanks for the info Geoff.

Would have been good. Its been quite a few years since i was there last. The used to have the largest colony of little red flying foxes in the southern hemisphere. Just on dark they would take off in a tornado effect, round and round til they reached the top then dispersed from there. Imagine a sky pink in colour filled with bats from horizon to horizon.

ABC did a documentary on them in the 90's.

Had a quick look at the turnoff too Mary Valley on the way down. All the signs have been removed that told people that you could camp there.

The only sign there now is a green and white one stating that its 'Mary Valley'.

I have not been able to get a definate answer, but all the indications are that the station has closed its doors to tourists.
It's a shame, it looked like somewhere worthwhile.
Let's hope the closure is only a temporary thing.
