Hi guys,
Dont know if anyone has heard but there is a petition to stop a bit of mining progress going on in the Cape. The promises of drawing lots of water from the Wenlock to make it survive was what scared me.

Feel free to sign up here (http://www.savestevesplace.com/)

I would hate to see more mining development happening on this wonderful place.

If you object, tell your mates and their mates.

Feel free to comment.

Thanks Plucker,
Lets hope they get a lot of signatures. When I signed in, it looked as though there were a total of 3359 at that stage. It will be interesting to see how quickly that number grows.

Hi Plucker,
I tried [again!] to get Steves' people interested in the Quoll we've seen up there, thinking that as the latest sighting was on the other side of the river from that property, that might also be helpful in this fight. Not interested.
I will sign up though. Imagine the number of animals and birds that are going to be displaced in the process.
Cheers,
xina.

Looks like 2 more people have signed up since then Geoff.
Good to see there are lots concerned about the place rather than money.

The petition ends on the 9th of June so if you believe in the cause sign up.

I agree with you Plucker. I have seen a fair bit of the park before and know how much mining will destroy it.

I have allready added my name to the list.
