Guys,
I'm doing a Cape trip in June/July this year and have a couple of days in Seisia which I have booked to hire for the day and 18ft Bermuda through these guy's on the link below. Now, my question is does anyone know of any really reliable spots to catch a good feed of general reef fish such as Trout etc. I'm really keen to wet a line whilst there so if anyone can help (GPS coordinates welcome) then I'm sure I can accomodate several amber beverages........hehehehe;)

PS: I arrive in Seisia on the Sunday the 28th and leave 2nd July 2009.....Staying at http://www.seisiaholidaypark.com/accom.htm with hut booked.....
PSS: I'm also doing the Cape Yorker forum trip in September if that still goes ahead?

teabag,
enjoy your trip. bully and cheryl will look after you well and no doubt give you some good spots to have a crack. the tidal stream is pretty heavy between those dates, you will be better off chasing macs, as you will struggle to get bottom with that much run. use braid and that will help you get bottom, in areas with 2.5 kn + run.
check this link for the currents/tides during your stay.

look up Hammond Rock Tidal Streams for the currents, and Twin Island for the tides around the tip.
hope this helps.
cheers,
Bat

Cheers mate.....Cheryl is the one I spoke to on the phone wrt the boat booking and seemed very nice and helpful which is handy....Nothing wrong with chasing a few pelagics and have the gear to do so......Yeah, all my rods run braid with my T-Curve with Calcutta 700b running 50lb braid for bottom work may need to take some big bomb sinkers....hehehehe.......Thanks for the tides heads up......

The tag-along will be going ahead, I don't put this much effort into an itinerary for nothing.
You'll understand when you see the final document.
Have fun up there in June/July, make sure you leave enough fish for us though.
