Bamaga Airport Closure

Just to let everyone know that the Bamaga Airport will be closed for repairs from the 16th - 19th October. There will be no flights on these days. Anyone still wishing to fly in or out will have to do so via Horn Island.

Does Bamaga have a rugby league team heading down to the All Blacks Competition in Cairns. I think it is on that weekend, you better let them know if their going to it.

They reckon it's huge.......I'm surprised if there not.

Oh!! actually, i think Bamaga have a big inter island comp on the same weekend do they?
With better date planning our team could have went to both at different times, maybe next year.

Im not sure about this one Stacky. I know they are having the big island comp on not too far away. It could very well be that weekend. I have passed the word around so hopefully no one should be caught out now.

Well, the airport reopened last week. They have done a grea job, at least until the wet arrives. Then we will see what happens. While they were out working there they discovered a nice deposit of gravel. Since then there has been trucks every single day going back and forth loaded with gravel.


They go right past my door. I cant even sleep at work anymore, the noise is that loud.:)
