Bloomfield Track info

Hi guys,
I am taking the family up to Cooktown in July and intend on using the Bloomfield Track up and the inland road back south. I previously drove the Bloomfield in 2001 and loved it, but I can't remember much about the river/creek crossings. I have contacted Mason Tours for a guide, but is there anything else I should be aware of.

Bas, you'll have no problems with the bloomfield track. There's only one tidal crossing but it has a causeway now, making it an all weather crossing.

If you intend to do the CREB track, then that's a different story. Much mud!

Also, road (Mulligan Highway) from Cooktown inland through Lakeland, Palmer, Mt Carbine etc is completely sealed.
