A member of the Pradopoint.com forum has a mate driving the cape at the moment and says he got a txt from him saying that Gunshot has been excavated.
I reckon if anything was happening on the cape, someone here would know.
Sound right to you's?

Gunshot has been cleaned up a lot, the original entry is still there, still vertical, but the bypass had been badly eroded.
They have cut a new bypass next to the original entry, just to the left heading North.
The bypass is wide and on a shallow slope.
Some of the old entry points have been filled.

The people responsible for filling in a few of the approaches is Telstra. They rang me up earlier on in the year wanting to know about who to contact for all the quarry's up the cape. Apparently the new fibre optic cable they laid was exposedin areas and needed to be covered.

Yeah the telstra guys "fixed" a lot of the crossings but believe me I do not think they will be touched again so by next year the should be harder than ever to pass...

We were at Bramwell in April last year about the same time you were fixinx a dozer Sam.Most of the crossings were impassable then.Mother nature will undo Telstras handywork.Just get there around easter and see how passable the tele track is.A group from Weipa were there around Anzac day clearing the track.

Yes it was soup but the rodeo just handled it only 1 backup then straight out, None of the others would attempt it but I wanted to see for myself what the old girl would do and she passed everthing that I threw at her and with no breakdowns or tyres , Except for the missing number plate because I only put in 2 scews into the TJM bullbar that was new it happened when I hit the water to fast and just broke free.
