I have only just started using photobucket. I will try and change the pic size in the morning. Do you use photobucket? If you do, what size do you reduce them to?
Sorry Geoffy, I'm not that far along yet. Lots of things I still haven't mastered yet I'm afraid. Maybe Stacky can tell you. He tried to help me with it , but I'm not that bright.
Cheers,
xina.

I cant seem to find any rules about pictures on here but most sites like 800 pixles wide as a maximum. Bigger pictures can play havoc with slow internet connections.
On the photo bucket thingy, there will be a spot under the picture that will say something like img code.
If you left click that it will copy it.
Go back to your post and paste it.
The message will have pictures name on photobucket.jpgPreview your post, and you will see the picture in normal size in your message.
Sounds like you have worked out the thumbnail bit if you prefer that way.
Cheers.

G'Day Plucker,
Ah ha. I only found the one way to do it. I will try it the other way. Thumbnails are ok but i would prefer it if the pics were larger.

do you use baits? :o
I know that there is more of a possibility of getting the big Barra with livies but i get a real buzz out of lures and have never had a bait in my boat up the creeks or on the reef.
I'm not saying i wouldn't, i just can't stop using lures.
Maybe we should have a LURES ANONYMOUS thread and talk through our addictions.

G'Day Stacky,
I do a fair bit of luring and most times i only go to baits when there is not much lure action. Or am chasing big fingermark. I use plastics a fair bit as well. I have had the most success with the Berkley Gulp plastics as you can even use them as an artificial bait. Out on the reefs i get a few reds and such using plastics and even just plain old chromies.

You can really go off some people Geoff, I know you live, work and play in paradise, you don't have to rub it in.
BTW, make sure you put the bung in the boat before putting it in the water otherwise it may sink.
Would probably help if you mounted the motor properly also.
What happened there?
Caught in a bush fire or a carelessly discarded cigarette butt?

That happened last year not far from the Jackey Jackey boat ramp. Not sure what happened though. Possible some fuel in the boat was ignited by a some sparks from the battery? As soon as you touched the side of the boat it would crumble , thats how hot the fire was. Two days previously a bush fire had been through.

Yeah, and usually a bit smoother too.
Hi Plucker,
That's not the Olive River mouth I remember. Are you sure it's not the point just south of the mouth? Then again, I have got what I call Creeping Alzheimers. Yet it also looks like Bolt Head , or the point south of that, that we used to call Rocky Point. Some of the best and biggest Blacklips on the southern side of that one.
You guys are certainly trying to make sure I only do a one-way trip on the Tagalong. GREAT PHOTOS.
Cheers,
xina.

Hi xina,
From what I remember it is the point on the south side of the river with the mouth just around the other side of the hill, not far from where Hugo lived. Although I must say this photo was a few years ago now.
See it can get really calm up there.
