Great shots, makes me even more keen to get back up there, which is just as well, we've only got 17 sleeps to go :) .

Just bought myself a Canon 400D for this years trip, I'm hoping to get some good shots. I'll be very pleased if they come close to your standard.
Now all I need is a wide angle lens.............

Keep em coming Campdog.

The last one was taken at the old linesman hut on the northern side of the Jardine.
All taken with a Kodak p880 point and shoot.Have a new SLR and waiting for a trip to the Cape,

Campdog- Looks like you may be doing the photo spread in next years mag with shots like that. Seeing those sort of images would make you miss the place even more.

A good lense for the Cape would be a 28-300mm. Gives you a wide angle view for the landscapes and close up for the crocs from a distance. That way you havent got to worry about getting dust inside your camera when changing lenses. A tamron 28-300 will be on my shopping list before next trip.

Yeah, I agree John, but it's a time/money thing, not much time and no money.
I'll have the 75-300 on the Canon and take the Fuji point and shoot for the closer shots. It's a compromise but it'll have to do.

Hi Campdog,
They are all really great shots. The Cape ones are making me so homesick for it, that I might even get up there again sooner rather than later. Have you thought of doing a Coffee Table Book ? With so much interest in the cape these days, you could have a winner.
Thank you again for sharing them with us, and I'd also like to thank everyone who posts photos for us all to see. I know I really appreciate them, and I'm sure everyone else does too.
