Hi,
Very excited, we head to Cape in just over 9 weeks! Our first time up there. 3 vehicles going with one trailer. Keeping an eye on roads and weather. But just excited to be heading away for 6 weeks (from Sydney). We are in a 2002 Prado with a 2 and 3 year old!!!
Any must see/do things from experienced travellers??
Thanks. Might catch some of you up there :D
6 weeks! Take your time and don't try to fit it all in on the one trip. There is lots to see and do up there.

Ahh, been there, done that. The trip from HELL !!
A steep learning curve with my 2 kids (1.5 y/o and 4 y/o at the time). The kids slept all day when we were travelling, and stayed awake all night when we wanted some shut eye. Yeah !!
Didn't even get the boat off the C/T, after carrying it 4,000 kms.
This years trip - NO Kids, mainly the lads, and specifically a fishing trip.
I'll take the kids back next time, now they are a few years older.
My advice ?? Take the kids & have a great time, BUT, give a lot of consideration to their wants, limit the driving hours each day (where possible) and try to wear them out by doing some physical activity each afternoon.
My 2 bobs worth anyway.
Might see you up there. We leave Sydney on 29th May.

Kids aside, you'll have a ball.
One place that must be on your list is Fruit Bat/Twin falls, everyone will love the place.
The kids will have a chance to have a swim.

Want another 2 year old to keep yours company?
He's really well-behaved ... when he's asleep!
