Batesy, thats a stunner, theres a bloke who pulishes a magazine called capeyorker that might be interested in that.
we had a nice sunset here a couple of weeks ago but nothing like that.

Absolutely brilliant shots.
The one with the dog in it changes the aspect completly, and makes it the better shot in my opinion.

Do you use filters?

Those Weipa shots are someting I only dream of. How can you leave such a great spot Batesy.
I dont use any filters,it was an absolute cracker of a sunset. I got a new digital SLR at christmas. shooting in raw format allows me to do in camera development before transferring the images to my computer in jpeg format.The two middle shots were first then the two darker ones.

Awesome sunset.
The black Cockatoos in the tree looks really good, not a bad zoom on the camera either.

I normally use a 16-35mm wide angle for landscape but I put the 70-300mm on to bring the trees and cockatoos in closer and still get the sunset colors.

Too bloody hot ... plus there's too many of you friggin southerners up here in winter time!
