Just wondering if you have been to all these places before. THE Creb Track can be a luck of the draw place with heavy rain leaving ot closed of impassable. Also Cape Melville can be a challenge early in the dry.Ive havent been able to getto the Creb track yet because of rain or cyclones, but will one day.

That's 21 days, Townsville to Townsville, correct?
If you intend on doing the CREB track it would be advisable to carry mud chains (to be used as a LAST resort) or a sat phone and the number for the closest RACQ.
Talk with Wilcox, he knows all about it, he did spend a number of days stuck there, but don't tell everyone that :)
Don't forget to allow for some rest days.

Spend more than 21 days then, let the others head back without you.
Go back and have a good look around Lakefield.
The answer is yes, I returned your email.

Stop laughing. We are heading Cairns, Cape, Cairns leaving August 23rd, shouldn't be hard to spot us on 3 bright red Postie Bikes. Go easy on us as you roar past with the aircon on.
Feel free to throw you empties our way just be sure to leave more then the dregs for us to drink up.
Might meet some of you at the creek crossings, where we are going to have the most trouble of all.
No backup vehicle here. Are we mad, shit yeah!

There's only so much Rum you can carry on a Postie to make it all seem normal!

I dont know. I would like to do the Cape on a postie bike. Some of the funnier things i have seen come up this way are-
-Guy with a wheelbarrow walking up the cape
-Pushbikes of course with trailers
-A guy riding a harley motorbike. Lost his legs in the war and both were wood.
-20 Ride-on Lawnmowers
-A prototype 4wd ferari that then got airlifted by chopper and put in front of the 'Tip' Sign.
-and Tractors
Hope you have a great time Glen.

The lawnmowers came up here in 2005.They had the blades removed. They left cairns to ride for a charity. Once they got up here and went out to the tip they shipped them back on the barge.
There was one guy that was lagging behind. He managed to get hold of a local guy at Coen that had a chopper. He put his ride-on in a harness and was going to get the chopper to drop him off in front of the other ride-on's.
Didnt quite work out as he had planned due to the harness failing and the mower hitting the ground not far in front of a support vehicle.

Now that would have made for an hilarious pic!
