Gidday all & Happy New Year, were heading off Anzac day for our 2nd trip to the Cape from Melbourne and really looking forward to it. We missed doing Borroloola to Karumba last time so gonna do it this time and wondering how the fishing is between the two towns, also from Normanton can you turn left and go straight up towards the Cape, Arakun Weipa etc or do you have to go to Cooktown Coen. Redclaw what is the best way to catch them? can you use opera house nets in Queensland. That should get the juices flowing. Any info is welcome and remember if ya wanna see us up there we are to middle aged blokes in a Ford Courier who look lost.

Hey Dickynee,
I used opera house traps up there last year, I think these traps are banned in some enclosed waters but are OK to use up there.
If I'm wrong I'd like to know because I'll be using them again this year :)
