View Full Version : Sad Day

I just spent all day cleaning the old 80 series today. Vacuum, cut and polish etc. Then I trundled it down to the shops this evening and chucked a for sale sign on it... it looks so shiny and new ... it just breaks my heart.
The tragedy is that if it sells we will be purchasing ... wait for it ... a Camry!!
And no, the Camry will not have any kind of after-market 4WDrive system ... it will have the standard front wheel drive set-up run by four hamsters on speed.
This marks the end of my 4WDrive ownership for the next year or two until I find some way of making a quick million bucks ... or convincing the missus to get another job!
Imagine this: I live in Weipa ... I fish probably twice a year and now I won't even own a fourby ... talk about wasted opportunities!

Highlift, the Camry will be used for plying the back streets of Cairns within 6 months. I think our Cape travels will be lifted to flying into Weipa to catch up with Ma, Pa and the siblings.
Time for our little family to have a change soon ... we've got another little one on the way - if everything goes to plan, touch wood.

Hi Batesy, dont tell me youy leaving weipa as well, whose going to run the forum. Tell you what though, I would buy your cruiser if it had a diesel motor. Might be worth something as a collectors item one day.Nothing wrong wit a nissan camry anyway.
I was planning a trip north for a visit in weipa, maybe catch up in cairns or you might even turn up down this way on a book promotion.?

Vacuum, cut and polish?
Last time I saw it there wasn't a mark on it, looked as good as new.
Did you need an excuse to work up a thirst?
A Camry :D , 18" rims with low profiles + 6 - 24" sub woofers, doof, doof, doof.
Just the thing for the burbs of Cairns.

That's good that you will be in Cairns in around six months, I will be up there in about seven months so I will reserve my spot on your front lawn for my camper trailer now....congratulations to yourself and Janine on the news of a littlen on the way and I hope the move down to Cairns works out good for ya's
