Gidday,

just found this forum on the web (a bit quiet at work) so thought i would join.
Was last up the Cape in 2002 it was my first time and i can tell you I was gob smacked. It was fantastic. From Victoria the mate and i headed up to the tip in his Ford Courier old tinny on top with a 8 HP motor. We had a ball. Met some great people along the way. Crossed Gunbarrel (I think creek) which was running fast and deep. Played golf with an old mate Matches in Weipa he and his mates took us our serious fishing fantastic.
We are heading back up Anzac Day next year for 6 weeks unfortunately without the tinny but hope to catch some fish from the bank. Will prop in Punsand Bay for a few days as we missed out last time, believe it or not they were booked out when we got there last time. We did the Kimberleys last year and that was fantastic. I am wondering why I cant access the photos that people have on the forum?

G'day Dickynee and welcome to the board.

My first suggestion with the pic problem is that you have to be logged in to view the images. If you are still having problems then, well... it beats me!

We did have dramas a few months back but I thought I fixed that from this end.

What are you actually seeing? Is it just a little red cross in a box instead of an image?

I'm a bit the same Campdog! I do get the confused and sarcastic smilies (do you reckon they're telling me something) but all the others are red crosses

I do see the photos though, so perhaps that one may be a firewall or virus protection issue.

By the way........welcome aboard Dickynee :)

Yes all I see are red crosses on the photos. As I log on at work it may be the firewall. Does anyone understand the alcohol policy within the Cape? My mate and I don't mind a drink, and last time we were up there we took a few slabs.
