Good on you Highlift!
You rarely see people offer their services as live-in babysitter quite so readily! What a true champion! I'm sure Batsey and missus will truly appreciate the many evenings they will now be able to enjoy at the local wine and dinery and watching the sun set..........comfortable in the knowledge their little headbanger is safe with such a true friend!
By the way.......I've got three headbangers myself that need babysitting when the ol' ball and chain and myself visit the cape! If I arrange you a job down this way, can I secure your services??????????

Geez, Highlift, you'll need more than one beer at the end of each day if you have to come home to my family!
Actually how about you stay here and I'll take the single men's quarters. At least I might get some sleep ... food's good down there too.
30 bucks an hour? You'll have to work over an hour just to buy a six pack of rum and coke up here!

Yeah only $30 an hour would be taking a pay cut to what I am getting down here but hey "location" "location".

I looked at that add too. I dont think I could handle a road train though.and I dont think the owner woukd apreciate it if I went up the tele track.Could imagine the look on the faces of spectators at gunshot.

Low down gearing diff locks no worrys be a piece of cake, approach and departure angles of the truck might be a problem though.

Any capeyork residents know of any employment going up there at the moment for Roadtrain operators we have just had our haulage contract terminated down here seems I might be looking for some new employment now, I can have a redundancy payout or move over to West Aus, and drive for the company don't think I want to do that at this stage that would triple my fuel bill to the Cape from over there.

Thanx Sam I will put it on my list of possabilities, found out roughly my payout today, I could eaisly have at least the next six to nine months off, but you can only sit around for so long not working so I will find something soon. I might even hit the Cape this year yet looking at doing a job in W.A now too so I will see how I go.
