G'day All,
Feels like ages since I last visited this place, oh yeah, that would be because I was on the Cape.
What a great place, it was good to see the places I have only ever read about, that was the first of many trips to come, I will definately be back.
Met some real characters along the way as well, really nice people and easy to talk to, even Batesy.
If you get to Punsand Bay, with any luck you'll meet a bloke calls himself 'Bat', really interesting. He runs a charter operation from there, I never got the chance to go fishing with him but will definately look him up next time. Does a bit of blue water stuff and is supposed to be good value if you can believe the locals, check out the photo's at Lockerbie Station.
Stop at the Mt. Molloy bakery for a pie and a chat, both are good.
There is heaps to tell and lots of photo's, way to many for here, between me and the missus we took about 2800 shots, gigital photo's has to be one of the greatest inventions ever. Now all I have to do is sit in front of the puta and edit/discard a few.
Batesy, nice to have finally met you and the family.
Sam, good to have met you also, thanks for all your help.
You guys really do live in paradise, well it was paradise while we were there anyway.
I did finally work up the nerve to fish at Dave's secret fishing spot, (I figured a 2m croc wasn't that big after all), didn't do any good though, maybe next time.
Got a bit of catching up to do on this site, looks like it has grown a bit over the last 4 weeks.
I will post photo's and a mini trip report in due course.
p.s.
Batesy, delivered those plain brown wrapped parcels as requested :)

Good to see you had a great time. The first trip is always the hardest to get over and get back to work.Nothing like dreaming about the next cape trip.

Thanks Campdog,
Not back at work yet, rang on the weekend and told them I would be a couple of days late, all ends tomorrow morning though :(
Not dreaming about the next trip, planning, deciding what we would do again and what not to.
Only 365 days to go :)

Cheers for running those boxes of merchandise out for me, Nedly. There was about 30kilos between them ... should cover a few tourists deals!
Hope the Lakefield section went alright?
Nedly good to see you had a good trip, our group is in Cairns and ready to go we leave in the morning should be good.

It was unbelievable, loved every minute of it, in fact I could say the same about the rest of the trip as well. It was just fascinating, the scenery and landscape changes constantly and there is always something different to see.
Meeting Sam and Cookie was great as well and Batesy how is my little curly haired mate going? is he still shaking peoples hands like I taught him?, You've got a top little bloke there.
Hope to be back up there again soon, Dipmaker.(Steve)

Not a problem, they seemed pleased to get them.
The display model came back out immediately.
Lakefield was really good, as Dipmaker says, it was unbelievable.
I will definately be going back there to see more and to explore the fishing possibilities in more detail.

Steve, we've got the 'shake hands' thing down pat, now we're into 'Kung Fu' ... very funny to see.
We even have psychotic headbanging going on when we play music in the car... See video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htGfrfVfprg)

He probably learnt that from hitting the corrugations.
