Howdy all,
Feels like forever since I've been on this site - I've been busy doing what seems like stuff all.
Anyway... I've just checked out the board here and the one over at 4wdmonthly and caught up on everyones travels/photos... makes me envious .... and I live up here!
Yoyo and Riley - looks like you blokes had an enjoyable trip. You're right about Endeavour Falls Park - nice spot. I reckon a clean, friendly campspot wins hands down everytime. And they've got the bloody falls right there to boot!
Just caught up with Nedly, Dipmaker and Cookie the other day. Nice lot. Well, Dipmaker, Nedly and Cookie were all pains-in-the-arses but their respective wives were friendly!!
Cookie's well set-up for his round-Oz trip. Lucky bugger. Pity his poor missus though - 18 months is a long time to spend in a car with Cookie!! Just joking, Cookie. After all she must be half mad to have married you in the first place!
AARRRHHHH .... bloody hell ... kid just woke up. Looks like Daddy Day-care is about to swing into service again.
Man, do I need a holiday ... away from the Cape!!

hey there Lushy, we are heading to Weipa leaving tomorrow and have a fishing charter booked, $220 each for the river I think and alittle more for the reef. that's the hole box and dice, tackle, bait and tucker just byo your refreshments. I just rang the Weipa camp ground to book, and we are going with Pugwash fishing Charters will let you know how it goes when we get back in Oct if you like. Just pm me so I remember.
Cheers Coza

I'd just like to say it was a pleasure to meet you Batesy, that's what I'd like to say but I was always taught not to lie, so I won't.
How the hell does someone in Weipa keep there vehicle so clean, you must have one of the cleanest Cruisers around anywhere.
No wonder you don't work, you haven't got time, you must spend 20 hours a day keeping the truck spotless.

I put a PATROL badge on the front end ... that way everything steers clear of me ... dirt, dust, other drivers ... everything except dickheads!! :)
Of course the downside is that every now and then I have to clean off all the S**T everyone throws at me - the easiest way to do that is just drive through a small creek (you gotta take the PATROL badge off though, otherwise the bastard gets bogged)!!!

Batesy, your lucky I have changed and dont partake in sledging anymore. I am now officially an old fart and I am selling my patrol and trailer and buying a cruiser and caravan for our trip around aus on the tar.

If this is true then I am very envious. I was quizzing Cookie about his journey, makes me want to do the same.
I don't think it's about age Campdog, a run around the country on the tar is going to be a great adventure - no rush, no fuss. Sure beats working ... or so they tell me!!
