Here's a pic of an 85cm barra that my sister's boyfriend's friend ... er, let's try that again... Here's a pic of an 85cm barra that Dave caught at the Mission River Bridge in Weipa 2 nights ago.

A few locals have been into the barra of late. The next door neighbour even lost one to a croc.

Batsey- was this one released? How did it swim away? Did it need a little reviving before it swam?

Catching barra at the bridge is a little like going to the brothel with a full wallet..........hmmmmm wonder if I will get lucky???

Err... I know nothing.

It was a cold night ... they put it a pan to warm it up ... but alas, it didn't survive.

Truth is I wasn't invited anywhere near it ... which is why I'm still filleting bloody Trevally for a feed .... and even these are given to me because I can't catch my own!

I may have to take you out fishing next time I am up that way. Could be as early as next month! Planning a trip out of Weipa and then up to 'Bonny Doon' (Mapoon).

I will keep ya posted.
