This is a fantastic idea.
The TJM Megastore in Cairns has now got their very own project vehicle fully fitted with the latest and greatest in gear. This is an idea which has been implemented by Warwick Grimwade, Manager of TJM, Cairns.
In a nutshell, Warwick will be taking the brand new V8 Diesel Landcruiser on regular treks into the cape to get out and about with the locals and tourists travelling around the area. The main idea is to get these products out to the people and to highlight what can be done to correctly fit out your vehicle. This in itself is a big positive as I see so many vehicles on the PDR that are not adequately set up for the conditions, whether it be insufficiently set up or fitting accesories that are not able to stand up to the roads or that are not even needed.
Warwick has hand picked the equipment to go onto this impressive vehicle and you can be sure that anything fitted is well worth fitting for the conditions up here.
If you are chasing any info on this, give Warwick a call: 0417763982 or drop in and say G'day when you see him up this way-you won't miss the vehicle.
The first trip is for a two week period with the vehicle leaving Cairns on Monday the 16th of July. Warwick will be in Weipa for the fishing comp and will be staying at the Caravan Park for that time. From there, he will be heading further north to Bamaga, etc.
Here are some shots of the vehicle.
