Sometimes there comes of point of realisation that the old beast will need new suspenders.
Problem is: how can you tell when you need them?
In my experience you should follow these easy steps...
1. Compare your car with a similarly loaded car...

Looks like the white one is a Nissan with a bit of shotoshopping done.
Never seen a toyota or toyota driver on the level yet.

2. Have a closer inspection of the offending suspension...

3. Don't show too much concern... otherwise someone will snap a pic and post it on an internet forum...
Sorry, Ant.

Could have been worse, there could have been something in the boxes.

LOL ... certainly no 'pride' in any of them.
Can't leave you bastards alone for any period of time can I?
Here I am working up to 19hours a day and all you can do is pile shit on the tojo's and the poor old editor! Nice shot!
Lets hope I see you broken down on the side of the road somewhere. I will do my best to find the closest puddle and spray you with a mixture of cowshit and mud.
In all seriousness, the toyota has been given a birthday and now has all new springs, shocks and bushes. I feel like I am driving with my head in the clouds and actually have to step UP into the car now.
I am also grabbing a snorkel on Saturday.
All will be done just before I embark on the next trip to the Cape when I leave on Monday. Lets hope I can knock out the next edition of Fish and Boat before then. Speaking of which..............

Hey Campdog!
You have to be joking don't you? Lets look at facts and figures. Take the cape for example. In all honesty, how many nissans do you see?
I should rephrase that "How many Nissans do you see that are actually running"?
I would rather buy a Lada Niva or Dihatsu Charade.
Not going to happen EVER!!!!
Even my Father-in-law who was a staunch Nissan man all his life has just bought a Toyota and can't stop raving about it. Complete turn around I can tell you as he was the last person I ever thought of owning a Toyota.
Question is "When are you guys going to pull your heads out of your ar#e and come to the reality. Ditch the crap and get with it.

Give my best wishes to your father in law and hope he gets over mango fever soon and gets his nissan back.
Does this mean no to a patrol. What sort of trade in did they give you on a LAda.

Your head is in the clouds not because of the new additions but becasue of that special crap you smoke. I too leave monday I hope to catch up with you up there for a few pots. Riley and I have teamed up for the trip so it will be interesting
YoYo-give me a call sometime. It would be good to catch up mate. I will be heading up to lakeland on Monday. Going to stop in at the pub for a feed and a few brews then hit the hay and head out onto the dirt early Tuesday morning. From then on in, I will be out of range as I am not going to be on the main tracks.
Mate, can't wait.
Glad to get this layout out of the way and have a break. City life is killing me!.

That load of boxes would certainly test the suspension of these cars.
Probably look very much like the Toyota did.
Campdog- Going bush for all three. Have to get soem articles for the Cape Yorker, Fish and Boat, and possibly another fishing publication. At the same time, I am also doing a lot of product testing/reviewing (mainly fishing gear). Somewhere in between all of that, I am hoping to have a rest.

Sounds like fun, love fishing as well, I used to make custom fishing rods, tried it for a living but spent more time fishing than working so gave that idea away.
Started building a few loomis rods aroung the time peter (horrible) Horribin sold them for a living. Now I just fish for bass and odd cape fishing trip.
