I have not had one but I have heard good reports and I also have my turbo diesel chipped and they do go as well as the say on the advertising if you can afford it you will get better fuel economy and also a lot nicer car to drive you will be amazed how much the extra little bit of power does to a standard vehicle cheers sam
ps also a nice new exhaust from someone like buedesert exhaust will give you another 10-15 percent as well if you're chasing more power I have a 3inch mandrel bent on my 1hdt-fte and it made as much difference as the chip did.
I have also heard good reports about the Dtronics in the 3lt Nissan

Cookie you have a good 4b to start with,my mate has one and he said the more you load the trailer up the harder it pulls, so i dont think you will have too many worries.

Cape york, Kakadu, gunbarreland and the tanami you can't do that in 12months that's just not Cricket. Is going to take me about 20 years to that the way I'm going.

inland campdog, hoping to get there, maybe get some work in weipa and do the cape, till oct, then take 4 or so months to get back via the coast, then over to perth, work, see places then next march head slowly up to darwin, across the top and down the tanami to alice, play around a little then back to lakes, thats the plan but who knows. cookie.

Cookie if you cant get work on the cape cooking there is something wrong. Why dont you just find a nice spot on the tele track, fire up the barby and sell hamburgers and you would make a fortune.

Cookie you dont have to try hard for a yarn and a beer on the cape, every tourist is there for the same reason. You might say hello to someone at the Lions Den hotel and have a beer with them, meet up with them again in weipa and end up travelling the tele track with them. You wont get lonely on the Cape. And you can take a good red with you.

We were talking about chipping the diesel sam, and exhaust, where would i get the chip from is it a plug in one that overides, or a complete new chip and did you put xtractors on your 3 inch pipes apparently you need a bigger breather, cookie.

The safari d-tronics is one of the better ones they are the full plug in type avoid the tap in type ones as they are usually purely fuel chips and are obviously not the best on you're car also you cannot put extractors on a turbo diesel but you can get a bigger dump pipe through a mob like buedesert they have the best bolt on systems avialible.

Sam, I've heard good and bad about bigger pipes.
I am definately NOT a diesel expert, but I believe you need a certain amount of back pressure for the diesel to work properly.
Someone told me that they lost power after installing the bigger pipe to their 4.2TD GU, others have said they had an increase.
What's your opinion on bigger pipes?
Might take a run down to Beaudesert and check with these guys.

Yeah you would think so but I have personally seen the benifits of a 3inch mandrel bent BUEDESERT exhaust on a 1hdt-fte and a 4.2td and believe me the improvment was very noticable especialy on the 1hdt-fte motor.
