I know, who wants to talk about s##t (S#@T), but we all do it.
Reading one of the other threads and the subject came up about thoughtless travellers and their rubbish.
I cannot understand why it is so difficult for certain people to take their rubbish with them, after all, they carried it in.
Anyway, that's not the reason for this post, the following is.
While we are all mindful of the environment and take steps to protect it, it's a sad fact that quite often you will see white paper streamers spread all over the place.
It is a fact that no matter how deep you dig your toilet hole some inquisitive animal will come along and dig it up. The result = white paper streamers.
A solution to this problem is when you go, don't just take the shovel and paper, take a box of matches.
Burn the paper, no white paper streamers.
Not sure where I read that useful tip, but it's one I follow and encourage others to do the same.
Remember, always wash your hands.

Further to my previous post, another suggestion is to carry a box of latex disposable gloves.
You can buy these gloves in a box of 100, I got mine from Bunnings.
In theory, if you wear a pair of the gloves while working with oil, grease etc you avoid contaminating yours and others food, water etc.
You could also wear them in conjunction with the shovel walk as well I suppose.
The downside of these gloves is that you have more rubbish to dispose of, but they are hygienic.
Also, carry a bottle of disinfectant (eg dettol) or disinfectant soap.
That'll do, anyone else got some handy hygiene hints?
Its very hard to light a match and ignite the toilet paper with sh*t all over it. I don't know about you but I don't like the idea of having to smell burnt crap.
But I will give it a go and when I'm watching my SH9T going up in smoke I will think of NEDLY. I never imagined that you put so much though in taking a crap. WELL DONE

I used to know of an old fella that would take a cup full of diesel from his jerry with him and burn the SH*T before he covered it over, helps burn the paper and the smell of the diesel keeps the animals away as YOYO said though who want's to smell burnt S@$IT.

I suppose it comes down to what you'd prefer, the smell of burning s*#t or paper streamers decorating the country side.
I know my preference.
Not sure about the diesel though.
BTW, the smell of burning paper is far stronger than any other smells.

Well that's something different, most people say I'm full of p-ss and bad manners, and I've usually got to agree with them.
BTW Nedly, I agree with your sig line, but it's a hassle having to go to the dentist to have those little black curly hairs removed.
