im not sure if i should bring a tinny 12 foot up to the cape or buy one up there, i have a 4 stroke honda electric start, transom mounted on the front of my trailer, and a cantilevered boat rack on top. Question ? is it worth putting the boat in at the end of july, against extra weight 100kg on the trailer making it more difficult ? to get to the cape, if i bought one up there where from ?. Other option is a 10 foot tinny , 9 hp suzuki i have, with my wife and 3 yr old son in it , what r the waters like. cheers cookie.
If I had 1 Cookie I would take it with me but I haven't been there yet so I don't know for sure.

Cookie, I lugged a tinnie around the cape on my trailer last year and was no problem, took it up the tele track.Towed a 16ft tinnie there in April this year. You would be kicking yourself if you have a tinnie and leave it behind.Too many great places to have a fish or look around with a boat.

When I did my last trip up the Cape I had thought's about taking a tinnie with me on the roof rack but then decided against it didn't want that wait on the roof, Then when I got up there and had a look around didn't I regret not having it. When I return for my 3-4 week stay next year I will definately have it my young bloke he's 5 has seen pictures and footage of fishing up the Cape and is keen to get up there and wet a line and the fishing you can do up there and the variety and size of fish you catch in a boat will have you coming back for more. This time I will be hauling it up on a camper trailer.

I'LL be in my 80 series Cruiser T/D by time the missus and daugter 13 yr old load in all their crap I will have about 12 months worth as well, We were going to tent it but the amount off stuff they take I need to haul the trailer up. I am sure everyone can relate to that. No diff locks either, Ive got Lokkas in the shed had em 4 years haven't got around to installing them yet.
I don't think I'll need them my rear lsd is still working alright front diff is good as well.
